The prayer chain at Good Shepherd provides immediate prayer for those who request prayer support. Prayers can be requested through our church office, by email, or by placing a written request into the prayer box in the Gathering Space. A Strengthening Prayer for those who would like to use it daily.
Dear God,
It is hard for me to thank you today for the tragedies and heartache I have encountered in my
life. It is hard for me to thank you because I know that you didn't bestow the tragedies upon
me - you didn't will them, nor want them, nor cause them. They just happened. And I refuse to
blame you.
But Father, I do want to thank you for being there with me when I cried and shook and asked,
"Why Me?" There are times I feel empty -- when I reach for you and can't find you. And yet, I
know you are there. Thank you for the courage you have given me to face another day and to try
again.
Yet more than anything else, I want to thank you, Father, for using my trials to strengthen me, to make me wiser, to cause me to be more empathetic to the struggles of others. O Lord, take my crucifixions and slowly, over time, turn them into resurrections, through Jesus Christ, my
Lord.

Did you notice the Prayer Request Box in the gathering space? This box is for notes about your prayer requests, surgeries, procedures or other concerns you would like Pastor Gore to be aware of. Note paper and pen are provided beside the box for your convenience.
Charts for Altar Flowers and Bulletins are on the bulletin board across from the church office. Envelopes are available near the charts for you to use. They may be placed in the church offering. Altar Flowers will cost $35.00 per week.
Donations for bulletins are $15.00 for each Sunday.
Memorial Candles may be sponsored by the month and are $4.00 per Sunday.
